To enrich the lives of program participants by fostering independence and offering individualized, community-based support. B.R.I.D.G.E.S. provides participants with day program services in their own communities allowing each individual to explore and become active members of their community, with the training and support needed to engage in activities of their choosing.
As our Executive Director, Jessica brings over fifteen years of experience in the field of disability services and special education. In addition to day program experience, she has worked in special education classrooms and as an ABA Instructor at The Ivymount School in Rockville, Maryland. Jessica became one of the founding members of B.R.I.D.G.E.S. because she is dedicated to serving people with dignity and providing high quality life-enriching services for people with developmental disabilities. In her role as Executive Director, she oversees program operations and works behind the scenes to secure funding and resources for B.R.I.D.G.E.S. to grow.
As our Director of Human Resources, Robert brings nine years of managerial experience as well as nearly five years of day program experience. Robert became one of the founding members of B.R.I.D.G.E.S. because he wanted to provide people with disabilities, in the San Diego area, an exceptional day program. In his role as Director of Human Resources, he oversees the hiring and training of our Direct Service staff. He works directly with staff to ensure best practices, respect and dignity are at the forefront of our services.
As a non-profit organization, B.R.I.D.G.E.S. is governed by a Board of Directors. Currently, the Board consists of Nancy Doerring, Larry Canepa and Karen Lichtig.
